We are seeking a talented individual to work 10-20 hours per week in a work from home contract position selling sponsorships that help support PAMP.
The Palo Alto Menlo Park Parents Club (PAMP) is looking for a business development manager to help us manage existing sponsorships and seek new businesses to sponsor the club. Work is flexible and exciting. We are a hands on staff and board - we experiment and try new things and focus on efficient execution of our plans. Details of this new role are below!
TITLE: Business Development Manager
SALARY: To be determined, commensurate with experience
HOURS: 10 - 20 hours/week or approximately 40-80/month
LOCATION: Telecommute, occasional meetings in Palo Alto/Menlo Park area
Reporting to the Operations Director and working closely with the Marketing Chair and Co-Presidents, you are responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive array of business development activities. You will manage and maintain our overall Business Development Plan, and ensure all of our sales and business development channels are used appropriately to engage our members and potential members. You are responsible for all program planning, organizing, and execution of business development and sales activities, as well as working with the Marketing Chair and Operations Director to create the business development and sales strategy and identify opportunities for improvement.
Reach out to local and national businesses to solicit sponsorships for PAMP and its programs and events. Develop and maintain positive relationships with sponsors.
Manage and execute business development plan. Also develop individual campaign plans (e.g. sponsorships for Preschool Fair and other events), based on annual sponsorship strategy.
Develop relationships with local businesses willing to commit to sponsorships and other partnerships.
Enhance/improve PAMP's business development strategy and approach through evaluation of sponsorship program and offerings and creating actionable suggestions to the board about the structure and pricing of sponsorship opportunities.
Monitor/report on response to business development campaign. Report on results to Board and Operations Manager . Revise future business development efforts based on these results.
Demonstrated ability to sell goods or services to small businesses.
Ability to determine the needs of small businesses and find creative ways to meet those needs.
Ability to determine sales and marketing strategies.
Solid organizational skills and high conscientiousness.
