PAMP’s Jump Into Summer is just under two weeks away, and while you’re scheduling out your summer activities, this popular event is one you surely won’t want to miss. We have some new information that just might entice you to take the “jump” and sign up your family.

We’ve ordered 5 - yes FIVE - blowup, bouncy structures to please even the toughest of critics. We’ll have the 4-in-1 dazzling castle and castle jumper for all of our princes and princesses, soccer darts for our future soccer stars, 4-in-1 pirate ship to yo-ho-ho your way to fun and another 4-in-1 structure. We’ll have standard bounce houses and bouncy slides sure to tucker the kids out and ensure a peaceful naptime. One of the structures will even be dedicated to the youngest of guests so parents can rest assured that their two-year-old will be in a safe environment and away from larger kids who may knock them over.

Soccer Shots Bay Area will have an indoor soccer activity. Located in San Mateo, Soccer Shots impacts children’s lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, communication and curriculum.

Snip-its will be on hand to give kids fun and wacky hairstyles for the day. Snip-its, located at Palo Alto’s Town and Country Village in Palo Alto, is designed to make kids feel special and have fun. No appointments are necessary, as walk-ins are welcome.

La Petite Baleen is hosting an indoor craft activity. La Petite Baleen has been providing swim lessons throughout the Peninsula since 1979. With indoor, heated pools and four locations, La Petite Baleen offers year-round lessons to children of all ages.

Blossom Birth will be there too, providing yoga instruction and henna to guests. Blossom Birth serves new and expectant families in the Bay Area by providing resources and services for a healthy, informed and confident pregnancy and parenting journey.

Party with 630 is providing the bounce houses at a discounted rate for this event. Party with 630 provides a variety of services including bounce houses, photo booths, fun games, sport games, rock walls and shoot 'em up games, among other things to make your next party the best party.

Snacks will be provided by My Petite Box, which offers a large variety of nutritious meals that will wake up your children’s taste buds. My Petite Box will be bringing pizza, savory muffins, sweet muffins, cookies and applesauce.

Jump Into Summer is only $10 per PAMP family and $25 for non-members (tell your friends and neighbors to come and enjoy a day with PAMP). Register today and we’ll see you on June 25 at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center – Sequoia Room and Patio, 700 Alma Street in Palo Alto, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We’re also looking for volunteers to join in the fun. Volunteering is a great way to meet the PAMP board and other families!! If interested, sign up  here or email

PAMP Holds Another Fun Day at the Farm!

Posted By Melissa McKenzie, Tuesday, June 6, 2017
Updated: Friday, June 9, 2017

PAMP held another fantastic and fun day at Pastorino Farms in Half Moon Bay on June 3. In the second farm event of the year, Summer Fun Day at the Farm gave PAMP families and friends of PAMP families the opportunity to ride ponies, pet farm animals, go on a hayride bounce in the bouncy house and take a tour of the farm.

Hosted by Friendly Pony Parties, Summer Fun Day at the Farm provided all of the entertainment that has come to be expected from this popular PAMP event.

PAMP member Mariza Kim attended with her three and six year old. “The farm day was quiet and not too crowded,” she said. Although somewhat frustrated by a seemingly longer setup time than she had anticipated, she said her kids “enjoyed the baby animals and the ponies.”

Mom of four-year-old triples and PAMP member Melaine Hennessey attended the Fall Fun Day at the Farm event with her family last year and although her husband joked that the Halloween decorations still on display, they had a great time and plan to attend the next PAMP event at Pastorino Farms.

“My family loved the event,” she said. “I was surprised it wasn’t better attended … [My kids] loved the pony rides, the petting zoo, and the train. Really, everything! They also mentioned the hay ride.”

PAMP will hold another Fun Day at the Farm this fall, but if your kids need a petting zoo fix sooner, make sure to sign up for Family Day on July 30 at Mitchell Park. The event is free to all PAMP families.

Warming weather means plenty of fun, and with the start of spring a distant memory, summer is on the horizon. Celebrate the longer days with PAMP in Half Moon Bay.

Fun Day at the Farm is back! If you missed our spring event, you’ll surely want to come out to Pastorino Farms for pony rides, hayrides, train rides, bouncy houses and a petting zoo! There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained.

Even though PAMP will provide light snacks and water, we encourage you to bring a picnic lunch and take a break at Pastorino’s dining area.

Friendly Pony Parties, as always, is a co-host and PAMP families get in for only $10! Don’t forget to tell your non-member friends about it and bring them along! Non-member families can enjoy all the fun for only $25.

PAMP members who want to attend for free, can volunteer. It’s a great way to help us out while enjoying all of activities. “I enjoy volunteering at PAMP events because it is a wonderful program and it makes me happy to help out the families and children,” says PAMP member Patty Bors. “We have been going to family day at the farm for a couple years now, and it’s one of my son's favorite events.”

Come out and enjoy all of the great activities we have planned. Spend time with fellow PAMP members and make new friends. Summer Fun Day at the Farm begins at 10 a.m., but come whenever you want and spend as much or as little time as you’d like. Children of all ages are welcome!

If you’ve recently tried to register for PAMP’s Summer Fun Day at the Farm and received a message saying the event was full, please try again. Due to a technical problem, the system closed registration. We have fixed the error and registration should be open.

Pastorino Farms is only 30 minutes from the Palo Alto/Menlo Park area. All payments are final. No refunds will be issued. Walk-ins are discouraged and not eligible for the PAMP member discounted rate.

Hip Hip Hooray for Rummage Sale Day

Posted By Melissa McKenzie, Tuesday, March 21, 2017
Updated: Monday, April 3, 2017

PAMP members and non-members spent this past Sunday (Mar. 19) finding deals at the 2017 PAMP Rummage Sale.

Held at Cubberley Community Center in Palo Alto, at least 200 people came out to shop for previously loved children’s toys and games, maternity and kid’s clothes, household items and baby gear.

PAMP-member volunteer Ashwini Parsana has volunteered at the Rummage Sale for the past three years, taking advantage of the incentive to get in early.

“I’ve been part of PAMP for three years and I volunteer for every Rummage Sale,” she said. “It’s a great incentive that we get to shope early if we volunteer and it’s a great way to meet new parents. When you’re volunteering you get to socialize a little, you get to shop a little. I just enjoy it every year.”

Volunteers got access 15 minutes prior to the doors opening at 8:30 a.m. and some, like Ashwini, knew exactly what they were looking for.

“I found lots of books and toys and clothes,” she said, noting that in addition to shopping for her daughter, she was searching for things for her sister, who recently had a baby.

There was “tons of stuff and tons of age groups and varieties,” she said, adding that there was “something for everyone.”

PAMP’s next event is Spring Fun Day at the Farm on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Click here for more information or to register.

Meet PAMP's New Events Manager

Posted By Communications Manager, Tuesday, March 7, 2017
Updated: Tuesday, March 7, 2017

Although PAMP event manager Iris Safar just started with the organization in January, she already has planned and executed PAMP’s first ever Funtastic Winter Arts & Crafts Day event and is playing a large part in organizing the upcoming Rummage Sale as well as smaller events, including organizing catering, activities, decorating and ensuring each event is comfortable for both parents and children alike.

A Bay Area native, Iris resides in Saratoga and says her favorite part of her job is seeing kids having fun and parents mingling at PAMP events. “At PAMP, I mostly like the energy of kids and their amusement and curiosity about EVERYTHING. It’s adorable and helps me remember to enjoy life like kids do,” she says. Going forward she wants to “make sure all events are always organized, well-planned and logistically flow well.”

Despite having minimal knowledge of PAMP before applying, Iris says she was impressed with the organization after doing some additional research and excited about the opportunity to help create meaningful memories for PAMP families.

In addition to being an avid yogi and certified hot yoga instructor, Iris is passionate about skincare and beauty, running an Instagram blog – just for fun - called “Beauty and the Buddah.” She enjoys being aunty to her friend’s children and as a child loved Saturday morning cartoons like the Jetsons, Flintstones and Nickelodeon classic shows such as Doug and Rugrats.
