Camp Imagineerz

Posted By Programs Administrator, Sunday, May 1, 2016
Updated: Friday, April 29, 2016

Imagine a space full of ideas and possibilities – where creativity is celebrated and failure is embraced. That is Camp Imagineerz, where children learn the power of an "i-can" mindset - whether they are creating an 8-ft. rocket ship using cardboard or putting on an improv performance!

Research shows that while 100% of Kindergarteners believe in themselves, more than 40%  lose that spark by 3rd grade. We have studied why this happens and developed a program that introduces specific language and tools to help children keep their "i-can" spirit alive!

Check out amazing things parents say about us in Yelp.

ISTP Prepares Children for Careers that do not yet Exist

Posted By Administration, Wednesday, April 20, 2016
Updated: Sunday, April 17, 2016

The International School of the Peninsula provides a comprehensive and challenging bilingual education for students 3 years old through eighth grade. The school offers both French immersion and Chinese immersion programs. ISTP teaches through language and culture, using these tools to promote personal and academic excellence. Within a safe, nurturing environment, students are encouraged to collaborate, communicate, experiment, grow and excel.

An education at ISTP is far more comprehensive than after-school language classes as language is a vital part of ISTP’s rigorous academic curriculum. Bilingualism and biliteracy are considered curricular goals, as they strengthen students’ critical thinking, problem solving and creative thinking skills.

Menlo Park Summer Camps

Posted By Administration, Sunday, April 17, 2016

Albert Einstein once said, “play is the highest form of research.”  Play unlocks a child’s creativity and imagination, and develops reading, thinking, and problem solving skills as well as further develops motor skills. It provides the base foundation for learning.  All the more reason to let your kiddos come and play with us this summer!

The City of Menlo Park offers several City-run camps each summer.    In addition, we offer several contracted camps each summer including sports, martial arts, dance, and other specialty camps. Please visit our online registration for more information.

Using the Potty from Birth

Posted By Administration, Sunday, April 17, 2016

Did you know that babies can learn to pee and poop on cue? Or that toddlers by the age of 18 months can be potty trained? Babies are very aware of when they "go" and have the ability to communicate this awareness from the moment they are born.

Elimination Communication (or Infant Potty Training), is a practice in which parents and caretakers learn about their baby’s elimination needs, and allow them to eliminate in a desired place (e.g. the potty) rather than a diaper. So by the time they’re two, they’ll be using the potty because that’s the only thing they’ve ever known.

Want to learn more? Contact Helen at readysetpotty@gmail.com or visit www.ReadySetPotty.com.
