The long-awaited summer is upon us! Summer marks the arrival of the best time to splash in the local pools, play in the neighborhood parks, grill in your backyard, and just generally enjoy the long, sun-filled days. For the PAMP Board, summer is also the time for us to celebrate the many hard-working volunteers that make PAMP so special. As a volunteer-led organization, PAMP could not survive without their efforts.

We are thrilled to announce that PAMP will once again be hosting Family Day this summer to recognize the contributions of our volunteers and thank them for their dedication over the past year. We encourage everyone to attend this fun event for the whole family and to offer your own thanks to our volunteers. The event will take place on July 17. While you are enjoying the benefits of PAMP and the company of your fellow PAMP members at Family Day, we enthusiastically encourage you to learn about the many ways that you too can give back to PAMP. Each summer many volunteer positions arise as the PAMP volunteers who have loyally served the organization over the past year step aside and allow others an opportunity to aid PAMP’s mission. PAMP depends on its volunteers to fulfill their volunteer commitment. To learn more about open positions and our volunteer needs, please email volunteer@pampclub.org.

Do you want to make an immediate impact? Then consider helping us with our new electronic format newsletter! Nearly 70 percent of you said you were interested in receiving an interactive online newsletter. In response to your overwhelming feedback, we will be transitioning to an all-electronic newsletter very soon and your contribution can bring the new newsletter to life.

In addition, we are really excited to introduce PAMP’s new members-only website. Our new website will host PAMP’s online newsletter—now you can read, comment, and even share articles through Facebook and Twitter with just a click. Want to receive an email version? Just sign up on the side-bar! You like the newsletter calendar? How about getting information about PAMP events delivered straight to your email? All you have to do is sign up for our Calendar RSS Feed! Want to volunteer? You can read full job descriptions and apply online through the “Support Us” page!
