Sabina Kroes is PAMP’s Vice President of Membership Development. “My job is to grow our wonderful community of parents, and to also enrich their lives and the lives of their kids by offering new opportunities and programs,” says Sabina.
She moved into her current role after tenure as PAMP’s small events organizer. “I would discover as well as create small activities for kids by bringing local businesses into our community to offer classes,” Sabina states.
Sabina is responsible for expanding the member community while at the same time keeping the existing community happily engaged. She says of her role, “I focus on identifying which programs, events and offerings work for our members, and what we as organization can change to further enhance the rich experiences we offer to parents in our community.”
One way she tracks member satisfaction is by creating and implementing surveys. She then takes that feedback to help come up with new programs, activities and events for PAMP.
Sabina has two young children and is married to an amazing doctor who treats many families in the Bay Area. She has been a member of PAMP for 4.5 years.
She is also a founder of a small startup aiming to help parents and kids discover better products for everyone to enjoy. Her family has a rather active life: when not working, they host lots of dinner parties (both she and her husband love to cook), travel and play with their kids.
1. What is the last non-kid movie you saw?
No time for many movies nowadays! But I love Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Shameless and House of Lies.
2. Are you a Bay Area native or transplant?
I was born in Georgia Tbilisi and came to the US in 1990.
3. What’s at the top of your to-do list?
Juggle a million “to do’s” and have fun while doing those!
4. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character?
5. Why are you a PAMP volunteer?
PAMP was an amazing resource for my family when we were expecting our first child and through the years. We met amazing new friends in the community, I learned what to do and not to do with the kids, and nowadays we enjoy many activities for the kids that PAMP offers. I always felt grateful for how organization helped me, and volunteering helps me give back to this wonderful community.
Each month we train the spotlight on someone who works behind the scenes for PAMP. Interested in joining the ranks? Browse our open volunteer positions, and apply today!
