Information We Collect
In the course of using the Site, we may ask that you provide us with some personally identifiable information – information about you that can be used to contact or identify you, and information on your use / or potential use of the Site (“Personal Information”). It is possible for you to access parts of the Site without providing any of your Personal Information. However, in order to take full advantage of the Site and all the resources PAMP has to offer, you are required to be a member of PAMP (“PAMP Member”).
If you wish to become a PAMP Member, you will be required to submit your name and email address to BigTent, whereupon you will receive an invitation from BigTent to join PAMP. Through the BigTent membership application, you will be required to provide us and BigTent with some Personal Information, such as your name, gender, age range, username, password, postal address, email address, home phone number, and the number, age and names of your children. You may be asked to provide at your option additional Personal Information, such as work and mobile phone numbers, the name of your spouse, your highest level of education attained, your neighborhood and elementary school district, your occupation, your annual household income and the languages spoken at home. You may also be required to provide Personal Information, including a credit card number, to PAMP and/or BigTent to pay for your membership. We or BigTent may provide such information to a third party payment processor.
Should you wish to request a business discount, join our Request-in-a-Pinch Support network, create a new subgroup or playgroup, request an email alias or make use of certain other PAMP services that are or may become available from time to time, we may ask for additional Personal Information.
Information Use and Disclosure
We use your Personal Information to offer you certain services through this Site and the PAMP Group, including, the provision of information about upcoming events, parenting advice, items for sale, domestic help, volunteer opportunities and discounts at local retailers and service providers. We also use this information to maintain our membership roster and to ensure that PAMP Members can benefit from use of the Site and PAMP Group. We may also use your address to send you our monthly newsletter.
PAMP Group Communication
PAMP utilizes BigTent to support communication among PAMP Members. Messages posted to the PAMP Group on BigTent are automatically copied to the BigTent archives (the “Archives”). Any Personal Information you include in your posts to BigTent may be collected and stored in the Archives. The Archives may be searchable by PAMP Members. Therefore, any Personal Information contained in those messages is available to other PAMP Members. Additional information from your message, such as the email headers containing your name and email address, may be available to PAMP volunteers who moderate posts to the PAMP Group. Excerpts of messages posted to the PAMP Group may appear in PAMP newsletters and/or on the Site. In such instances, PAMP will make every effort to remove the name and email address of the poster before displaying the excerpt. PAMP is not responsible for any revelation of the poster’s identity that may be revealed or otherwise ascertained from the context of the excerpts of messages.
In addition, other PAMP Members may have access to any Personal Information you include in your profile, including your name, postal address, email address, hobbies and names of family members. BigTent allows you to control what Personal Information you share with other PAMP members on the PAMP Group through your PAMP Group profile.
PAMP may also send communications to your email address and/or postal address on file. PAMP may use third party service providers to process its mailings, and as such, may provide your Personal Information to the third party service providers to effect such mailings. If you decide that you no longer wish to receive mailings from the PAMP Group, please refer to the BigTent Settings.
As part of your PAMP membership, PAMP may provide you with certain communications such as service announcements and administrative messages. These communications are a part of your PAMP membership, which you may not be able to opt-out from receiving so long as you remain a member of PAMP.
Use of the PAMP Group Anonymous Service
PAMP provides its members with a service whereby some messages of a sensitive nature may be posted to the PAMP Group anonymously (the “Anonymous Service”). To utilize this service, a PAMP Member (the “Original Sender”) may send an email to email@example.com. The email is then directed to a small number of PAMP volunteers (the “Anonymous Moderators”), who read the message and decide whether it is appropriate for the PAMP Group and whether the subject matter is appropriate for the Anonymous Service. (For more information on what subjects are appropriate, please refer to the Anonymous Posting Rules Section of our Guidelines for Forum Posts: http://pampclub.org/site/about-us/online-community-posting-rules/)
If the Anonymous Moderators decide a message is appropriate to post anonymously to the PAMP Group, they will make every effort to strip the message of the Original Sender’s Personal Information and then post the stripped version of the message to the PAMP Group, with an indication that the post is being posted on behalf of an anonymous PAMP Member. PAMP and the Anonymous Moderators are not responsible for an inadvertent failure to strip the message of the Original Sender’s identity or Personal Information, or for any revelation of the Original Sender’s identity that may be revealed or otherwise ascertained from the context of statements in the message, even after any specific Personal Information has been stripped.
The Anonymous Moderators may save the Personal Information from emails received at the firstname.lastname@example.org email address. Where the Original Sender has solicited information or assistance and has indicated either explicitly or implicitly that such Original Sender expects the Anonymous Moderators to forward any replies from PAMP Members, the Anonymous Moderators will use reasonable efforts to do so using the Original Sender’s email address. Unless a person replying to an anonymous post specifically requests that their email address be withheld, their email address may be included when the Anonymous Moderator submits replies to the Original Sender.
By using the Anonymous Service, you agree that in the rare case where the Anonymous Moderators reasonably believe that there is a serious or imminent threat to the health or safety of the Original Sender, or of another person, the Anonymous Members may disclose the Original Sender’s Personal Information to a limited number of people or organizations to help prevent the threat. The Anonymous Moderators assume no obligation to make any such disclosure, and you agree by using the Anonymous Service that the Anonymous Moderator will in no way be subject to any liability if they do or do not make such disclosure.
Accessing and Changing Your Information

You may also request the removal or modification of any Personal Information stored on the Site or in the PAMP Group. Provided we are not required to retain such data by law or for legitimate purposes, we will attempt to remove the information, but the decision to do so remains in our sole discretion. We may decline to process requests for any reason, including when we believe a request is unreasonably repetitive, requires disproportionate technical effort, jeopardizes the privacy of others or is extremely impractical.

Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement
We may choose to disclose some or all of your information, including your Personal Information, any correspondence sent to and from email@example.com, and non-personal data, to the government, law enforcement officials, or private parties if we, in our sole discretion, believe it necessary or appropriate to comply with the law, to respond to legal complaints, to comply with legal process (including subpoenas), to protect the rights of PAMP or a third party, to enforce our terms and conditions, to ensure the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally questionable activity.
We believe the safety and security of your Personal Information is important. We employ procedural and technological measures in an attempt to protect your information from unauthorized access and use. Although we do attempt to keep your Personal Information secure, no security measures are perfect; there is always a possibility that a security breach could occur, resulting in the release of Personal Information. Third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, or may abuse or misuse your Personal Information available on the Site.
Certain of our third party providers may also have access to your Personal Information and may have their own procedural and technological measures in place to protect your Personal Information. These providers may also backup your Personal Information. While PAMP makes every effort to select responsible third party providers, we are not responsible for, and have no control over, the security measures of our third party providers, or where or how long they may store your Personal Information. We encourage you to learn about the privacy policies of our third party providers.
